Destin
Destin is a beautiful Gulf-front community in Okaloosa County, located on Florida's Panhandle. Known to many as the "World's Luckiest Fishing Village," it's a popular vacation destination known for its exceptional dining, world-renowned deep-sea fishing tournaments, boating on Crab Island, and the ever-popular "long walks along the beach" on the blindingly white sands of the Emerald Coast. If golf is your passion then come on down and play at Regatta Bay, an award-winning course nestled among breathtaking nature preserves along the Choctawhatchee Bay. Enjoy the nature trails that pass through the dunes of Henderson Beach State Park where the coastline is dotted with pine and oak trees sheltering wildlife. Some of my favorite restaurants include McGuire's Irish Pub, Mimmo's, Pazzo, Marina Cafe, Dewey Destin's (one on the Harbor and especially the one on the Bay), Harbor Docks, and Thai Delights. The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation offers outdoor summer and fall concerts, featuring musicians from all over the world, as well as local artists.
